It is sometimes possible to fit shields to streetlights to reduce light intrusion. There is a charge for this service. You can contact us to request a shield at Hampshirepfi@enerveo.com please provide the road name, town and unit number which can be found on each post. Or please refer to the interactive map on this website.

In Hampshire we use central management system which allows us to control the streetlights output levels. This allows us to save energy and reduce carbon emissions.

As of the 1st April 2019, Hampshire County Council (HCC) implement a part-night lighting policy, which sees residential roads lighting switched off between the hours of 1am and 4am. As the street lighting contractor for Hampshire County Council, Enerveo will arrange the clearance of any foliage which directly obscures the streetlighting furniture maintained under the contract. If on private property a tree pruning notice will be issued to the homeowner. It may be possible to move an existing streetlight a short distance to allow for alteration such as a dropped kerb. We would only be able to do so if the new position will not detrimentally affect the lighting levels on the public highway. There is a charge for this service.

Please note, we work closely with our partners Hampshire County Council to ensure we protect their interest and safeguard the highway. You, as the resident will need to apply to Hampshire County Council for a dropped kerb including alternation/extension to an existing one and commission the work before we can consider moving the lighting column. Our remote monitoring system automatically checks each light approximately every 14 days in winter months and every 28 days in summer. All other units are scouted during the same period.

When a fault is reported we attend site within three business days to repair or report the need for more extensive repairs. In these cases, repairs may take an additional 10 to 35 business days to repair depending on the nature of the fault. For faults on the underground cable network, this is reported to the District Network Operator for repair.

Most streetlights are owned either by Hampshire County Council (HCC) or a Local Parish Council. Enerveo maintain all of HCC’s streetlights under a PFI contract. The contract also includes some local Parish Councils.

If your streetlight is not featured on the interactive map, it is likely that it is not maintained by Enerveo. Please contact your local Parish Council, Housing Association or Management Company for further assistance.
